In a show-flat, elements, spaces, materials can be used in most thrilling and attractive ways, to showcase an aspirational lifestyle, sans constraints and conditions. For the clients, who are veteran builders and construction entrepreneurs, the residence required to look and feel different from their other collection of sample houses. Therefore, with this 4BHK residence, the clients offered complete design freedom to create visually stunning, functionally efficient and memorable spaces. 

The Design Process: Delightful Spaces and Artful Corners 

The process of transforming the house to a beautiful home began with layering spaces with art and thoughtful, tactile elements. Since the outset, the design intent was to create memorable spaces imbued with the best quality materials, while breaking away from any conventional ‘styles’ or design idioms. Within this approach, the confluence of gentle curves, arches and textured finishes all became key ingredients to create a stunning showcase residence. 

Beginning from the stately foyer clad in wood, the spaces progress into various hues and moods, exhibiting the best quality materials and finishes. The foyer is embellished with metal arches, adding layers of materiality and soft curves to the experience. The living area, with a backdrop of dull olive green, is a presentation of minimalism with touches of rustic warmth, showcasing formal and informal seating areas. Plush off white and grey sofas contrast are paired with a woven rug. Finer details, like a grid of grooves on the green feature wall add touches of tactility to the space. Art finds a home in several corners, such as the textured off white framed artwork by the informal seating nook.
